This book was written as a resource for an emergency response in case of a nuclear detonation. An interagency group of communications, radiation technical experts and doctors developed this edition which includes advised safety measures, key messages for the impacted community and the nation, anticipated questions and answers for the public in the immediate aftermath of a nuclear detonation, detailed first aid measures for injured persons and many more answers for the questions you didn't even knew you had.

How to Survive a Nuclear Attack – Gain The Knowledge Be Prepared eBook Federal Emergency Management Agency US Department of Defense

This a timely publication coming on the heels of threats from North Korea. Kim Jong Un is claiming that he will deploy a missile to a US city, bringing down instant death and destruction on perhaps millions. This 157 page book will give you information on how to act once an area nearby you have been hit. It tells you what to do. It's not a book about preparing for a nuclear explosion, like say, prepping and living in an underground bunker, but it is a book about what to do once you have an explosion. I myself have read in another book that you should not look at the light at the instant of the explosion which can cause blindness. This book instructs readers to seek immediate shelter and what to do if you are exposed to fallout dust. It gives you direction to stay indoors and wait for help, and how long to wait.

It also is in a format where question are asked and answers provided. Not all of it, but a great part of it has to do with Q&A.
It also seems written for emergency personnel, law enforcement and government spokespersons. But a layperson will find it helpful.

The final part is about first aid, which is general first aid that has been written over the years, not necessarily nuclear injury first aid.
At just 99 cents it's really worth it and I recommend it to everyone, since a layperson can also learn a lot of vital information from reading it.

There are a lot repetitions but that is helpful in my opinion because it will help you to remember the important details.

I recommend this to all who would like to know what one has to do in an unfortunate scenario that a nuclear weapon has exploded in their area.

How to Survive a Nuclear Attack – Gain The Knowledge Be Prepared eBook Federal Emergency Management Agency US Department of Defense Reviews

I wanted something fun to read. I like Zombies so how about surviving nuclear war? Why not! But this book is some sort of giant lists of things to do if you are a city, county, etc. It is stupid, boring and probably of little real value to anyone. You can just see the bureaucrat who wrote this sitting there day after day trying to add more to the already over done lists. I can't believe they actually sell stuff like this!
Excellent content!
